Woof .......

STRANGE BUT WONDERFUL: Per an announcement on Saturday morning, College GameDay will be in Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 6, to preview the SEC Championship Game showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs. Hmmmm, not #1 OSU and #2 Indiana. Curious.

SECCG - Georgia's main motivation to win on Saturday should be to repeat as SEC Champions for the first time under Kirby Smart. A win would also guarantee Georgia a top four seed and first round bye in the playoff as well. A Georgia win would give Alabama a 10-3 record. And with a few two-loss teams behind Alabama in the rankings who already have good arguments to be in the playoff, it would be nearly impossible to not kick the Crimson Tide out of the playoff if they lose their third game.

PASSING SABAN - Lost in the shuffle of what turned out to be an ugly win against ever-gritty Georgia Tech, Georgia earned its 8th SEC Championship berth in the last 9 years. Think about that. Teams like aforementioned A&M haven’t played in a conference title game in the 21st century. UGA also earned its 33 win vs. an AP Top 25 team under Kirby Smart. That passed Nick Saban for the most in that stretch. Another 11-1 season that’s now ticketed for, at the very least, a home Playoff game, is absolutely worth appreciating.

Cool
