Here's why.  ESPN presented this bullshit graphic and would have you think he is marginally better as a first time head coach, but note the years.

Bryant took his first head coaching gig at Maryland in 1945.  He head coached his 100th game at aTm in 1954.
Saban took his first head coaching gig at Toledo in 1990.  He head coached his 100th game at LSU in 2002.
Spurrier took his first head coaching gig at Duke in 1987.  He head coached his 100th game at UF in 1995.

Someone fixed the ESPN graphic so that the header was correct.  Kirby beats all of their asses by a large margin.
