I think he was pretty good. Falcons Defense was as good as it has been in a long long time. Think we finished in the top 5 in goal LINE defense actually.

What is very much debatable is how much of the falcons improvement was the DC and how much of it was the influx of talent we brought in on that side of the ball.

bNe is star-struck by the new coordinator and the free-agent pickups, while casually ignoring that the Falcons played in the worst division in the league, the easiest schedule and lost to a qb that didn't know the plays, another rookie in Levis and the awful Panthers, where the d gave up a game winning score in the fourth quarter. He's on Blank's wall.

Not an eternal pessimist, but this is the Atlanta NFL franchise in question and they've earned skepticism for every decision they make.  I wish those stats were put up against the league's toughest division and toughest schedule and that the D didn't collapse against some truly awful qb's and teams, but they did. The stats bear that out, too.

Death is riding along with Blank and he's feeling it. He needs his Super Bowl! Tick, tock, tick, tock...

Not going to take a side in optimist vs. pessimist, but the falcons are gone falcon and history proves it so accordingly.

They are a franchise that can/will/does rip defeat from the jaws of victory.

Just a reminder they beat to teams that had playoff wins this past year with a coach that went batcrapnuts and no QB.

We are not devoid of talent. We have CAP room. We need a QB, an ILB, a DL if Calais retires / goes to another team, and a WR that can take the top off a defense. All are available in free agency.

And don’t forget, a corch that can pull all of that together and not poop in his hat.
