"Some critics about how many we interviewed. That's dumb, don't buy it"
- CANE FRIGGIN CURE.

Ignorant might have been a better term FWIS.

Really good twitter thread here from someone involved in the process.....not just some DA that can type on the innerwebs. I Xferred it to nitter so it might take a minute (literally) to open but you wont need twitter to read it. (Also the timer between posts is still dumb ICYF,S)

Explain to us the decision-making Raheem will be responsible for beyond the Falcons. Morris may win big as the HC, but that guy is simply patting himself on the back and conflating the various business holding as having a significant impact on running the football team. That's silly and not germaine to what Morris is being hired to do.

If Morris is a dud will the Falcons PR crew interview Tomlin, Snead and that guy for their take on what they missed? Fluff from others in the biz is par for the course. We'll know in a couple of years if that praise turns into W's.

Having Morris not answer to McKay is huge progress in and of itself and you dont pay me enough to explain anything to your pessimistic arse but if i was to i would start with telling you to re-read the THREAD and point out where it indicates or even hints that the HC will have any responsibility beyond  the falcons.

Your last sentence is on point - but most here dont seem to get that. He could turn out to be the best hire any atlanta sports team ever made.

I personally would seriously doubt that he would be the worst hire ever made, or even the worst HC of the falcons....but WE DONT KNOW and wont for a couple of years.

Morris the cat would have been a better choice

I don't remember anyone here, in particular, complaining about the number of people they interviewed. I just personally don't understand having every candidate back for a second interview. I'm all for casting a wide net to locate the right guy. Did they get him? We'll find out in a few years, but I have zero confidence because I think this is Blank's 7th head coach in 22 years of ownership.

So they can be excited and turned on in the interview room, but until someone produces a product on the field for the second time in 22 years, then I'll remain a skeptic.
