Been hearing some tough news from different friends the last couple of days

If you pray please lift some prayers for Jackie and Brian, God knows the needs there. I don't know what is going on in this world anymore. Heading out on a golf trip with some long time friends but it just doesn't seem right. Grateful for this place. God bless you all.

We have a neighbor in which the wife died just a couple/few weeks ago. She had brain cancer and had undergone treatment but eventually it was no longer working and there was nothing doctors could do. They had given her 3-6 months to live. She made it about 9 months. We went to her funeral/memorial service just a couple of weeks ago. The husband and I chat periodically. He's a good guy, comes from over in Gadsden, Alabama. They have adult children and a couple of small grandchildren.

Life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. All of us need to bear that in mind as best as possible, in spite of the world around us.
