Great game and game plan from Coach White

Anyone that thinks CMW hasn’t done a good job with this team hasn’t watched the games or doesn’t understand basketball, or both.

Yep. Congratulations on losing...again. Sorry guys, I don't see the greatness in losing.

6-12 in conference play, 17-16 overall, I guess I don't understand basketball. I've always operated under the assumption that winning the games is object. I guess I'm wrong.

It looks to me like White is yet another failure as a basketball coach at Georgia.

We're not looking for greatness at this point.  To quote Rodney Dangerfield, we're looking for the fountain of middle age.  This team showed signs of not being completely dead.  We'll see if he can build anything or not next season, but this team has at least been fun to watch.

Take a look at SC this season.  Paris is in year two and last year's team only won 11 games.  For $3.4 million a year I expect better than "the fountain of middle age" in year 2.  Hire a DII coach for around $500,000 a year and I think we can get the results we are getting now.

Losing close games is not fun to watch.

JC, I bet you at least watched the game, unlike most naysayers here.

Too bad it didn't work.

I have low expectations for basketball. The team improved some this season, so it could be worse. Guessing MW has at least 2 more seasons to fully turn things around. If not, next man up!

If he doesn't, Georgia will solidify its reputation as the place where coaches that have high expectation buzzes around them come to kill their careers...

We're going to have to find the nobody that can recruit this state and keep the talent we have from going to blue chip schools.  Mike White seems to have an opportunity that some of our past coaches didn't with some 5 star talent.  I hope he can make something happen.

I wanted Jonas Hayes, but Georgia State only improved their record by 4 wins over last season under his leadership.  Still signs of improvement.

I agree with the vast improvement on this team. Problem is Dawgs have been lower level SEC for so long! CMW appears to be more than capable of drawing up plays and understands the game so much better than our past two coaches it is encouraging, but miles still to go. I believe CMW deserves a 5 year plan to get it right [NCAA Tournament bids]. I also like CMW attitude and representation as Georgia`s head ? coach for what it’s worth.

How the hell did UT get Rick Barnes?

This is the issue that worries me.  The optics are already pretty bad for Georgia basketball.  What happens if Demary and Cain leave?   White has to keep the young talent and upgrade almost every available roster spot.  Maybe he can.  If he doesn't?  Wash, rinse, repeat.

They're better than they were under Crean, but they still look like a bad team on the eyeball test.

I’d UGA rather concentrate on baseball. I gave up on basketball 20 years ago.

Plenty of room on the JC-DAWG83 "MAKE GEORGIA BASKETBALL A WALK ON ONLY SPORT AND DIVERT THE SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE BASEBALL TEAM!!!" train.

I'm thinking of having t shirts made.
