Thoughts on taking my 83 y/o dad to the shooting range?

He’s a Marine that grew up hunting. Not like I’d be teaching him anything. Just curious if it’s a bad idea for a guy that’s losing his memory to be in a range. He still drives, but he is at the repeat every story phase.

The live fire handling is probably locked in, so no worries there. Just don't give him something that will break his wrists or shoulder.

Depending on his cognizance, I'd worry about is him thinking you (or the Asian guy down a few lanes) was a VC, and he takes aim.
