I didn't register here at the new site, mainly cause I feel guilty being a commie freeloader, but I had to log back in to say how sorry I am to hear of Unk's passing.

The last 4 years of my working career, I had to be at work at 5:00am.  That usually put me in the parking lot around 4:50.  Of course, most mornings before I got out of my truck, I'd come to HOTD, and say good morning to Uncle John.

I took pride in being the first one to reply as soon as he made his 4:52 post.  (TRD beat me a few mornings).

Unk was the definition of a Damn Good Dawg, and will be sorely missed.

So sorry WRD, Prayers for you and your loved ones.

I am terribly sorry to hear this. UJD was one of the HOTD that I have met in person and he was an absolutely wonderful person. The world is a lesser place without him.

Prayers for strength sent for you and your family.

(04-13-2024, 07:49 AM)Replying to WarnerRobinsDawg As you know he had been in ICU and we were able to be with him a little earlier. Sorry for the news but y’all and the old Chat meant so much to him. Gary and I were as close as brothers could be and I loved him so much. I’ll keep you posted, just upset right now..
Skip, I am so sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. I know you will miss him. UJD was a special person. I am so happy he was able to witness the Back To Back National Championships. You and your family are in our prayers.

He's in a better place now, perfectly healed.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Dude was a legend. I know he lived a good life and had a bank vault full of people who cared for him. I’m truly sorry for your loss. 4:52 FOREVER!!
