Freshman Lily Smith of the Georgia gymnastics team finished her rookie season as an all-around individual competitor at the NCAA Gymnastics National Championship Semifinal at Dickies Arena on Thursday night. Smith started competition on vault, scoring a 9.725. She tied for first in the afternoon semifinal on uneven bars with a 9.925. The Limerick, Pa. native scored a 9.9125 on beam to finish fourth overall. In the final rotation on floor, Smith tumbled to a 9.9125 and compiled a 39.4750 all-around score to finish in seventh for both.
Following two days of action in the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament first and second rounds, the No. 6 Georgia women's tennis team is set to open up its first match of the tournament against No. 33 LSU on Friday, April 19 at 3 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs (17-4, 12-1 SEC) will begin their journey towards striving for back-to-back SEC Tournament titles, hosting the competition as the No. 1 seed after winning a share of the 2024 SEC regular season championship with a head-to-head advantage over No. 2 seed Texas A&M.
The ninth-ranked Georgia softball team hosts No. 13 Missouri in a three-game series at Jack Turner Stadium this weekend. The series kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. Saturday's 2 p.m. game will air live on SEC Network with Sunday's finale set for a 2 p.m. first pitch against the Tigers.
The No. 35 Georgia men's tennis team fell in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament to No. 31 Arkansas, 4-1, on Thursday evening at the LSU Tennis Complex. Georgia will now await its regional assignment for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament on May 3-5.

The Bulldogs (27-9, 7-8 SEC) and the Rebels (20-16, 5-10) did not play a midweek game. Last weekend, Georgia claimed a home series over Missouri 2-1 while the Rebels did the same at home against Mississippi State. Saturday will be the first "Foley Fest" of the season, starting at 11:30 a.m. on Rutherford Street (which will be closed starting at 10:45 am to thru traffic), featuring live music, face painting, food trucks, inflatables and more fun activities.
