The 17th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (30-10) defeated fourth-ranked Clemson 4-3 in a 15-inning thriller Tuesday that lasted five hours and 30 minutes in front of a season-high crowd of 4,183 at Foley Field.

Fast Facts

Georgia employed 10 pitchers in the win, combining for a total of 21 strikeouts, and the last nine hurlers tossed 11 scoreless innings.

Paul Toetz scored the winning run on a wild pitch by Rocco Reid in the 15th.

Tuesday's game saw a season-high attendance at Foley Field, at 4,183, the most since a record 4,461 saw Georgia beat No. 25 Miss. State in 2009. It was the second largest crowd since the 1990 renovation.

Charlie Condon was intentionally walked twice, in the fifth and in the ninth, giving him 17 on the year. The Bulldogs have drawn 20 intentional walks as a team.

Tonight's game was the longest by innings and time since Georgia beat Clemson 3-2 in 20 innings here in 2019 in a game that lasted six hours and 33 minutes, both school records.

Georgia will travel to take on No. 1 ranked Texas A&M on Friday, with first pitch set for 7:02 p.m. ET.

The No. 23 Georgia men's golf team begins postseason play in the Southeastern Conference Championships on April 24-28 at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island. The Bulldogs' lineup will consist of graduates Connor CreasyBen van Wyk, senior Caleb Manuel, junior Buck Brumlow and freshman Camden Smith with graduate Beck Burnette as an alternate. The 2024 SEC Championships mark the 23rd-straight year the event is held at Sea Island. Georgia has won the SEC Championship a league-best 29 times, most recently doing so in 2016. The Bulldogs have taken home the title eight times under head coach Chris Haack and six times in St Simons Island.

University of Georgia junior swimmer and NCAA champion Abby McCulloh was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America ® First Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon. The Lilburn native is the 23rd Bulldog in program history to receive CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-America First Team honors and the first since Chantal Van Landeghem in 2017. McCulloh capped off a career year by becoming Georgia's seventh NCAA champion in the 1,650y freestyle, winning in her home pool with a Bauerle Pool-record and personal-best time of 15:37.74. In the fall semester, she earned UGA Presidential Scholars honors for posting a 4.0 GPA while taking 14 or more credit hours.
