The narrative I read said he was told by event security to show his credential and proceed to the club. But what he didn't know was the cops working the accident scene hadn't been told that. He flashed his credential and moved around the scene of the accident. One of the Barney Fifes decided he was attempting to do a 9/11 style attack, jumped on his car for a slow speed ride of about 10 yards, and then pulled him out of the car and put him in cuffs. Took him to the station and booked on numerous charges that don't seem to fit the "crime". Assault on a police officer when the cop jumped on your car and took himself for a 10 yard slow speed ride?! I see it as a miscommunication and an overreaction by the Barney Fife. These charges will be dropped. But if his name was Scottie Smith he would be sitting in jail and the cop would get a bump in his performance evaluation.

^^^^^alll of this!  This scene plays out over and over again all over!  Cops (somehow) do not understand the amount of confusion there is when it dark/raining and their (F'ING) blue lights are flashing everywhere blinding you.  Then, they wave their arms like there some sort of way a miraculous light is shining on them and you should know exactly what their gyrations mean.   Then, the second you don't "perform" exactly as they want you too...they lose their shit and go nuts on you.  I've seen this happen at least half a dozen times and it's ALMOST happened to me several times.   It's like, "what are you asking me to do here?".   When you pause or heaven forbid NOT pause...they act like you're Timothy MacVae.
