One Stat Georgia MUST improve in 2024 ......

The Bulldogs were great on offense but they weren't lethal. One stat above all others highlights this. In 2023, Georgia converted 89.71% of red zone opportunities (per TeamRankings.com), good for 23rd in the nation. It was a major drop off from 2022's 98.67% which was first among all Power 5 schools.

With all the returning talent on offense, Bobo should be able to find creative ways to execute inside the 20. If there's been one fatal flaw during his tenures at Georgia, it's been his offense's famous bungles in the red zone (at South Carolina 2014). The Bulldogs must be able to put points on the board when they get deep into opponents' territory.

I'm sort of having off season memory loss - perhaps mercifully - so help me out. What were our biggest unsuccessful red zone blunders? I do remember right before halftime one game maybe we were down in the red zone and threw an interception. Seems like one time we had a couple of penalties knock us back from being in the 10 yard line area and next thing you know we were at the 30 yard line. Was there a pattern?

I don’t remember anything specific about the red zone, but I remember a series in the secc where we shit our pants at our own 20’ish.

the penalties were against Alabama and we missed a longer than it should have needed to be field goal.  The interception was against Tech, not before halftime but nearing the end of the game.  We also missed field goals in the red zone vs Ball State and South Carolina.  We also had a victory formation ending in the red zone against Vandy.

We won't win another NC as long as Bobo is OC. We may not win another SECC until Bobo is gone.
