We had suspected something like that for a while. But just speaking for myself, the surprise is that it has been going on for that long. I hope continues to recover.

Hope he continuously get the help he needs and because of his trials with painkillers he's able to help others.
Stories like his are why I'm so scared of the addictive qualities of painkillers. I was given a 10 day supply, 3 pills a day, of oxycontin after my hernia surgery a few years ago. Per doctor's instructions I took one as soon as I filled the prescription to take effect as the drugs the hospital wore off and one more before I went to bed that night. After a night filled with vivid nightmares, I flushed the rest of the prescription down the toilet and just dealt with the post op discomfort that lasted a few days. |
