Was watching some game highlights last night. Took note of something.

I was watching a highlight video from last year's Missouri game, played at Athens, I might add. That game was down to the wire until the 4th quarter, with a couple of timely interceptions we had made. If we were on the previous schedule rotation, we'd be traveling to Missouri, this year.

With the new SEC alignment and this year's schedule... we don't play Missouri this year. I'll have to say that I'm glad of that. It isn't like we have an easy schedule by any means. But I'm not lamenting over the fact that we don't have to travel up there and play them this year. I do think we're better than they are. But they're just another of those teams who go to doing double-gainer-cannonballs whenever we play them, and they tend to play their absolute perfect game.

I guess the SEC scheduling team threw us a bone with that one. Sending us to Tuscaloosa and Austin in the same season pretty much says screw you and the mule you rode in on. Going to Missouri too would have really sucked.

I said last year that Missouri was the 3rd best team in the SEC. I give Eli the Donkey a lot of grief, but I'm glad he didn't get offered the Alabama job.

I agree with that. I read your post and my thoughts went to Tennessee. I just looked at Missouri's 2023 schedule. They throttled Tennessee, 36-7. Goodness.
