Bulldog alum Chase Kalisz finished 11th in the men's 400m individual medley prelims, turning in a time of 4:13.36. Fellow alum Javier Acevedo placed 20th in the men's 100m backstroke prelims with a time of 54.19.

The Bulldogs return to the pool on Tuesday as rising senior Luca Urlando competes in the men's 200m butterfly prelims at 5 a.m. on USA Network and Peacock.

Anthony Edwards helped lead the United States men's basketball team to a 110-84 victory over Serbia in their pool play opener. Edwards scored 11 points on 4-for-6 shooting along with five rebounds in 19 minutes of play. Former Bulldog Ellen Perez of Australia will join her partner Matthew Ebden in the Tennis mixed doubles first round, taking on Sara Sorribes Tormo and Marcel Granollers of Spain Monday.
