Barber closed up shop
#1
Had the same lady barber for 20 years. Then we moved and I found an old man barber who charged $15.

Stopped by there this morning and the place was closed up and cleaned out.

Stopped by another barbershop id been eyeing. Wanted $30 for a regular haircut. I walked out

My lady charges $22 for men, I tip $5, so less than 30, but going rate around here is usually $40.

My oriental lady charges $13. Went up from $11 in late ‘22. I usually give her a $20.

$22 on the courthouse square down here in South Central. Damn good haircut, better general jackassery and gossip.

During Covid, I got ticked about availability and higher prices. Anyway, I cut my hair twice. First time was good, but the second time wasn’t too pretty! So, I went back. Anyway, my plan is to get my hair cut at the barber sometime soon, and then do “maintenance” cuts from then on, maybe every 1 -2 weeks.
We’ll see.

I went around 9 months without a haircut. Can’t imagine how long it takes a woman to grow hair to her butt. Mine wasn’t even that close to my shoulders.
