I'm wondering if this move is related to what appears to be heightened behavioral issues? I think that the role for which they have hired him is right smack in his wheelhouse. This is the type of thing he does best of all... and he's achieved a lot on the football side of things. He'll probably have a lot of good input to share. Kirby will still be fully in control, as he should be. I think it is a win-win.
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Richt had as many or more discipline issues than Kirby.

Richt and Bobo back in the football program.  Georgia had a good run.

like JC indicates, he had as many discipline issues as Smart has (or maybe you could say he had what is customary for the current Athens and Campus police that like to arrest first and ask questions later.

Richt did excel at establishing some "dawg for life" type programs here to take care of former players.  My guess is its going to be focused on that type of thing - developing the whole player, prepare the vast majority of them for life after football.  He also makes a pretty good ambassador for the program.  It also gives him excellent health benefits which he probably benefits from.

Definitely don't think he's going to be doing any X and O planning.

Concur..........sometimes it's best not to return to the past. Bobo = the kiss of death for collegiate programs.....maybe some school will hire him away after this season.

Hope he doesn’t turn us in for something. He never saw a sword he wasn’t prepared to fall on.
