FSU vs tech in Dublin tomorrow at noon...
#1
We should get some idea of how Key is doing with the nerds.

I saw where the stadium they are playing in holds 55,000.  I wonder how tech will react to playing in front of a crowd that is twice as big as what they are used to at home?

I wonder how many Americans who are stationed at the bases over in England will be going over for that game? That's a big deal for them who are stationed over there, for something like that to be held there.

I like Coach Key and wish him well.  Met him a couple of times, no exchange beyond a little UGA-GT banter, but he's got a chance to have them competitive for a change.

I think he was a great hire for them.

Screw that.  I never want to see that program do anything more than lose.  I hope FSU stomps the heck of them and they quit on the field.

Understood.  I have a strange soft spot for them that I cannot seem to shake.  It is embarrassing.

I think he is a good hire for them and he will get them back to at least being relevant in the ACC.  I'd like for tech to be an 8-9 win program that never beats Georgia again.  The game against them would mean something and wouldn't hurt our SOS and them being "almost good" but never quite getting over the hump would be torture for the nerd fans.

Key seems to be a little too obsessed with Georgia.  He is almost like a SCu fan with Clemson.  His obsession borders on mental illness.

With 2 B-I-Ls (one now deceased) and a niece and nephew who went there, I only hate GT the week we are playing them, since none of those relatives are obnoxious against UGA (at least around me).

I can't figure out if he is actually obsessed with Georgia or if he's just saying the right things to speak to their fan base.  About half of the Tech fans I know would rather Georgia lose than them win.

He's a great hire for them.  They actually generally make great hires considering the dumpster fire of a program they have.  Go back to whenever they hired Bobby Dodd.  Save for the coach they hired to replace him, all their hires have either been great coaches or have been hot candidates that appeared to be slam dunk hires that most other competitive schools would have wanted.

I hope he does well enough this year to get hired away by someone that can pay him big money with a generous NIL fund.  Or I hope he gets second year coach paralysis, where you've done all the easy changes, and then still aren't as good as you promised your players, and they stop believing the hype.
