Bulldog quarterback Carson Beck and place-kicker Peyton Woodring have earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors following Georgia's win over No. 14 Clemson, according to a league announcement Monday. Beck was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week alongside Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia while Woodring shared Special Teams Player of the Week accolades with Oklahoma PK Tyler Keltner.

On Saturday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m., top-ranked Georgia (1-0) plays host to the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (0-1) for its 2024 home opener at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium. Following the two-phase renovation in 2023-24, capacity has increased slightly to 93,033. Georgia remains ninth among the top 10 largest on-campus stadiums. The Bulldogs have won 12 straight home openers. Georgia holds a 2-0 advantage in the series with the Golden Eagles, winning 67-0 in 1943 and 38-0 in 2009, posting both shutouts in Athens.

Head coach Kirby Smart is unbeaten against all active head coaches over the past five years. Georgia is 63-6 in that span. The coaches no longer active who have wins over Georgia during this stretch: Nick Saban (3) along with Will Muschamp, Ed Orgeron and Dan Mullen.

Senior Carson Beck improved to 14-1 in his career as the starting quarterback (6-1 against top 20 teams) following the 34-3 season-opening win over No. 14 Clemson.

Georgia is riding a school record 25-game home winning streak, which leads in FBS

Dan Magill — affectionally known as "the greatest Bulldog of them all" — and Hall of Fame sports information director Claude Felton will have their names enshrined in the new Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium Press Box that is set to debut this Saturday. The 400 level of the press box is named the Claude Felton Press Level, while the 500 level honors the legacy of Coach Magill as the Dan Magill Press Level. Felton will also be honored on the field during the first quarter of Saturday's game against Tennessee Tech.
