Shame the accident happened.   Black mark on a great run.

But, money hungry families holding their hands out for cash is a hell of a way to for them to remember their children.

Makes me feel less sorrow and that UGA has done their part to honor them.  (And more).

I don’t think there was one party (any of the folks involved) that night that didn’t know exactly what was going on and willfully participate in it.   No one at uga forced Lecroy to race Carter.    If these families want to sue each other, knock yourselves out.   UGA didn’t sanction this.  (Were they responsible because they allowed them to use a vehicle…stretch but whatever).

I get it, it’s the world we live it.    Doesn’t mean I have to like it and doesn’t bring the kids back.

Reminds me of the old saying, “99% of lawyers make the other 1% look bad.”

I gotta wonder if family contacted lawyers first or ambulance chasers contacted them first. Huh

Someone whose niece worked that accident with ACCPD recently told me some stuff about it that will haunt me forever.

I pray for strength for all of the families touched by this, and all of the people that will know the sadness and misery associated with it.

I understand your point, but there is a reason it is being settled, and it isn't because the university is worried about attorney's fees.

You’re 100% correct!   Much of that reason is (2 reasons):   1. Ambulance chasing attorneys waving dollar signs.   2.  Uga doesn’t want more of the details mentioned above in the press.    I get it.

The University obviously had liability here...they took their attorney's advice...settled.  Hopefully the family affected can move forward, maybe the $$$ will help another family member in their life.
Cool
