they are still eligible under NCAA rules to play for their current team. They are not eligible under NCAA rules to play for their new team. Zirkel is playing for us, or at least had said he intended to a few weeks ago. I think we make an exception for people like Zirkel (ie a walkon and a graduate) that are leaving on good terms and allow them to play. I don't think any of the other transfers are planning on playing (though we may have some other walkons that are just looking for a potential scholarship elsewhere, but none that would probably play any significant downs anyway).

In theory, could transfers IN play tho?  What about EE's?

transfers in can't play.  My understanding about EEs is they could play, but it would cost them their redshirt year (ie 2023 would count as a redshirt year, leaving them just 24-27 to play eligiblity wise.  But I could be wrong on the EEs (could be completely not eligible).

I don’t think transfers in nor the EE’s can play in the BOWL.

I agree with McDonough, I don’t think EE’s can play. I read something the other day that said Pug could practice, but not play in the bowl game.
