The University of Georgia volleyball team swept Jacksonville (25-14, 25-18, 25-16) and defeated Utah Valley (18-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-15) on Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum to close out action of the Classic City Clash. The 3-0 weekend propels Georgia to a 6-3 record on the season. Georgia hosts No. 15 Georgia Tech next Friday, Sept. 20 at Stegeman Coliseum in the Bulldogs' non-conference finale. It's a WEAR RED match and the first 500 fans will take home a red replica Georgia volleyball jersey.
The University of Georgia men's tennis team concluded day two of action at the Southern Intercollegiate Champions at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Facility. The Bulldogs went 6-4 overall in singles play today with three wins in doubles. The Bulldogs are back tomorrow for the final day of Southern Intercollegiate Championships. Play is set to begin at 8 a.m.
Georgia, ranked 19th in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings, concludes its non-conference schedule with a matchup against Washington State. Sunday's match marks the first-ever meeting between the Bulldogs and Cougars, who previously played Georgia Southern last Thursday in a 2-0 win in Athens. Georgia begins its SEC season against No. 25 South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
