Haven’t had any in years. Foggy memory says it was okay but not anything special.

In my current low carb lifestyle an occasional almond flour muffin is the closest to eating bread I get.

Some of you dill weeds have never had real sourdough. It's the best toasting bread of all the fucking breads. Egg in a box? Perfect. Grilled cheese? Crispy as hell. Some people don't deserve good bread.

Dude, you think Saab's were good cars.  Sourdough is the bread equivalent of a well-done steak.  Move along.

I went through a period of heavy drinking and bad decisions.  But I did make 135mph out of that POS so I feel that gives me some leverage in your douchey bread world.  But please through out your finest bread for comparison.  I'll allow Capt John Derst bread works well with some egg salad.

LMAO. Dude, in Houma, LA there existed a 100 year old French bakery that baked fuck-ups that were better than the best sourdough I've had. It was the Excelsior and their stone building smelled incredible. Baguettes were crispy on the outside and airy and soft on the inside. Great, great, great rye and their pain de mie...the best sandwich bread made. Sourdough doesn't cut it. But you, you're your own man. You can buy trendy shit bread to your heart's content.

Welcome back.

That really cut me deep. I didn't know you were a bread man and I apologize. However, sourdough ain't trendy shat. It's about 5000 years old.

Yeah, it's old and tastes like it takes zero skill to make, like IPA's.  I went to the Woodstick farmers market this morning and there are four or five young ladies running "micro-bakeries" and all they can make is sourdough.  Sourdough loaves with leaf patterns cut into them, sourdough pretzels, sourdough baguettes and sourdough cinnamon rolls...those chicks need how to make better bread, but it must sell.  Suckers are born every minute.

If you got a Saab to 135...were you buzzed?

I feel like your just hate the taste and give zero respect to the bread wood. Maybe you have childish tastebuds and need bland. That's fine IMO. And fuck a sourdough cinnamon roll. Sounds nassy.

Lol!  Haven't whipped it out in a while.  It's weird when you hit the empty nest level and forget about mind blowing fake techniques to impress.  I waved the wife off on a funky salad tonight and made some bagel pizzas because I'm a man that needs cheese.

San Fran's a good city in the high rent areas. We can thank the US Navy for making it a gay mecca, NTTAWWT. Maybe the sourdough is good there, but it's over-made at local farmers markets and there are much better breads. The French and Italians make killer breads that are leaps and bounds better than what shows up at farmers markets, but sourdough is the sensation at those places. These chicks need to learn real bread making skillz. Literally had a sample from of a sourdough bagette yesterday that had texture of vulcanized rubber. Shame, shame, shame.
