And so it goes, Greed will be the downfall of college athletics. Just as it is with every endeavor. Greed. Sigh

The NCAA is completely responsible for the way college football is today. If years ago they had been reasonable and allowed players to make money for autographs, appearances, etc. we wouldn't be where we are today. Harsh punishments like we saw for AJ Green and Todd Gurley for selling their own property was excessive. Stupid rules like what meal you could buy a recruit or if you could pick him and his family up from the airport, etc. made criminals of just about every program. And idiots like Greg McGarity enforced those stupid rules instead of pushing back like Auburn did. I dislike Auburn but I have to say they told the NCAA to prove it and didn't help or do the investigation for them. There was plenty of money for everyone but the NCAA and member schools didn't want players to have any and now the blow back has arrived.

Yep, but don’t forget to throw college presidents in with them.  But amateurism!  That was always a load of bullshit.
