... dang water in the basement. It isn't like epic flooding or nothing like that. But it will definitely take a few days to dry out.
We had the big floods of 2009 in this sorta-general area. There was this narrow band of rainfall that came up through parts of Douglas, Cobb, and Paulding counties where they said it rained 16" in just 24 hours! We got water in the basement for the first time ever with that mega-downpour. Well, we got it again overnight with this recent bought of monsoonesque rain.
We've had big rains many times over the years where we didn't get a drop of water in the basement. There must be some line of demarcation that must be quite high that only these epic monsoons are able to cross.
