Man, I am tired of this ‘wait till halftime for adjustments’. We had 2 weeks

WTF did we do for two weeks? I just didn’t get it.
The game just came down to them catching passes and us dropping passes. The pro style offense requires pro style WR’s and I am not sure we have one. And why is Delp always staggering around like a blind mule in a melon patch? If he makes a catch he falls down if the ball is on the way to him he’s falling down. Damn. And if you ABSOLUTELY have to have an early start please don’t pin your hopes on Arian Smith. The faith this staff has in him is like an Iraqi for Mohammed. It’s just nihilistic. This is just my .02.
I don’t want to hear we fell a little short. That’s just cope. We need to completely watch that game over and over and see why we aren’t catching shit and revise our game plans because it looked just like Kentucky and ClemPson all over the first half. We just look desperate on offense. There’s nothing smooth about it.

I can’t really argue with any of this. We’ve prioritized trench guys and are somewhere around 50/50 on our hit ratio.

WR has become a $$$$$ position in college and Kirby hasn’t been willing to be the highest bidder to get one, or two. And we don’t have much help on the way. I think ONE of the three that’s committed is an SEC caliber receiver.

I can’t say I I’ll be sad to see a couple of the guys you mentioned move on. Projects that have flashed but never met the consistency needed.

I’ve still got plenty of head scratchers from this game.

Where was Frazier? It’s time to get Evans more involved in the passing game. I’ve seen many arguments this morning about the Beck picks being on the WR and other errors. But, haven’t seen an argument saying he was lucky not to have thrown the other 3-4 that hit their defensive guys in the hands. I no longer sold on Beck…. Defense had a horrible half, but, by my count we have Bama a short field 3 times.

Speaking of defense, it was obvious early the “hunting” plan didn’t work. If there is one phrase that I’m tired of hearing it’s “we need to let our linebackers hunt”. No, we needed to box Milroe in and stop him and the RB’s from getting the edge every time.

We finally played well when we were on house money and literally had nothing to lose. We played loose. There’s a message there.

The upshot is we should have learned a lot from this game. We shall see.

While we get the occasional gift we miss a LOT on WR’s.
I agree on Frazier but his whiffs on blocking would have exacerbated last nights shitshow.
He may have gotten Beck killed.

Skill position recruiting is starting to bite us in the ass. Missing out on Manning and Raiola set us back. And agree about the lack of a big time receiver. I’m not at all confident that Beck or any of the guys behind him are the answer. This season could go off the rails very quickly.

I am certain we don’t have any true NFL guys on an NFL style offense.
We are pretty stubborn about that.

Shows you how much My Honkey and Bowers meant to the offense. Bama's secondary is solid. I think with them being young we would be able to pick them apart.

Yes. Ladd & Bowers made QB’s look incredible. They were truly NFL talent.
