I know it’s a barve new world for CFB but Here’s my thought on the opt outs - if you get NIL money you are basically semi pro. And If you are getting paid to play, you have to play. All the games. Totally different situation if youre a traditional dirt poor student athlete and mere months away from a 7 figure contract and want to forego a meaningless exhibition game. But They are having they cake and eating it too now. Getting paid to play in college and then choosing not to play simply bc they are soon gonna continue to get paid to play, just maybe a little bit more. Wild.
