Agreed. I'd like to see that change. One thing my wife and I started doing... only this past year, I must confess... is we began buying our jeans from a U.S. manufacturer... Diamond Gusset Jeans. They are HQed in Tennessee (I think that's right). We drove up to Lynchburg, TN one Saturday, going to their store that is located in the old downtown area. It was like old timey service. An older lady working there helped me to pick out a few different options, and had me try them on. She even talked me into going with a slim cut rather than a regular cut, and they do fit way better. Thing was, the inseam length was too long for me. "That's alright. I'll hem them for you." And she did! Right there in the store. I bought two pair... I think I paid about $80 per pair. But she hemmed them perfectly!
My plan is to keep buying from them, and to try to buy American-made products as much as I can. I realize that options are limited in a lot of areas. But... if we could get some businesses rolling again, here in the U.S., it would increase those options.
American steel picked up the last time that fellow was president. I'd like to see a lot of goods start being made here, domestically.
