Game thoughts, Stadium atmosphere and other drivel...

The tailgating atmosphere was dead too. Partly because of an Alabama loss hangover. I believe the fans respond to perceived game hype and Auburn just didn't provide that hype. Tennessee will no matter what happens at Texas.

Texas is going to beat us like a rented mule and that will make the UT atmosphere like a funeral visitation.

The game day experience has been going downhill for some time now. I stopped spending any money on UGA football after the 2019 season. Much safer and far less expensive to watch the game at home. And momma and I want to travel a bit before we take up the rocking chair on the porch. I will always root for UGA football but, not in Athens. Maybe...MAYBE we will attend an away game in the future.

The other thing I thought was weird this year was the lack of homecoming stuff. No alumni band, unless they did that before I got into the stadium, before warmups. No old cheerleaders running around. Wouldn't have really even known it was homecoming if it hadn't been for the homecoming crowning that I don't even really care for.

11 can get open, but can't catch. That he gets significant snaps points to the lack of recruiting behind him. He should get fewer snaps.

22, meh. He's huge and ripped, but never flashed the balance, fluidity and vision to be a significant contributor pre-injury. Need to see more of Frazier and Bowen. If they can't blitz pickup then it needs to be corrected asap. 22 is a fighter, but not what the team needs at rb.

Gameday atmosphere has been meh for many years. They don't care about the average fan buying four season tix. Those folks are easily replaced like a dime that falls out of your pocket.

Kirby ripped the fans? Maybe he needs to get out of his bubble and realize that most of the state is dealing with catastrophic damage from a storm not 10 days old. Devastation and death from Valdosta to Augusta, I know because we drove through it both up and back from SEGeorgia. It’s amazing that Sanford had a huge crowd there on Saturday, there are a lot of people in Georgia that are lucky to have electricity and a roof, much less cheer at a ballgame.

You truly feel that don't you. You are the most negative fan I know. But your still OK as a person. It's OK if we still win isn't it? I mean you want us to win or would it mean we would be stuck with Bobo as a continuing coach which is intolerable to you.

It was odd for sure. Particularly that it was an alum that did the trumpet solo.

I've seen that the alumni band will perform at the Tech game. No reason given for the change.

Ol' Marion killed that solo too.  Best one ever.

Our gameday atmosphere is awful.

Had more fun at the Kentucky game this year than I’ve had in Sanford in a long time.

Of course I want us to win but I've seen us play this year and we are nowhere near the team we were even a year ago.  I'd love for Bobo to prove me wrong but he never has and I don't think he ever will.

Beck is good but not great and he doesn't have a special receiver to bail him out.  OL isn't dominant and RBs aren't game changers.  D can't tackle and is easy to run outside on. DBs are soft too.

We have enough athletic talent to win 9 games fairly easily but we don't have the elite talent we've had in the recent past.  I'm not negative, I'm realistic.

My pre-game day experience was awesome. The weather was damn near perfect. Food and drinks all day long, pretty women everywhere. I thought there was a late arriving crowd. Not many people walking around early. I saw only a few Auburn fans, and they usually travel to Athens. The music at our tailgate was great so maybe they need my playlist in the stadium. I will call the AD and let him know. The atmosphere inside the stadium seemed more subdued than usual for a big game. I think the loss to Bama and Auburn not being very good had something to do with that. The student section always clears out unless it is a big night game. Always has. As far as kids in the stadium, I would rather have a screaming baby in front of me than a puking adult. I’m not sure why our fans are disgruntled about any of it. We are on the best ride of our lives. I feel bad for anyone impacted by the recent storms, but Saturday was a great day to be in Athens and it was a great day to be a Dawg!

It’s been a minute since someone handed us our ass for 4 full quarters, I’ll believe it when I see it. AU in 17?

F Texas and their mule.

24-17 at the half..not 4 a rented mule affair..

Not sure why you seem to want to see them fail..so be it..in reality, this discussion just shows how good we have been..I’m enjoying the ride..

It is a really bad idea to serve alcohol in the stadium especially in afternoon and night games.  Some are already loaded when they come in and they keep drinking once they get there.  I saw one guy stumble up the stairs with 3 beers in each hand.  I've had my seats for 23+ years.  Never had one second of trouble.  But for this game the fat lard ass that sits 10 seats down was loaded and tripped and fell on the people sitting next to my wife.  Then in the 3rd quarter a guy tried to fight someone on my row and was pushed out by the guy he came with.  He started fighting and throwing his arms around when people tried to calm him down.  My wife nearly caught an elbow to the face trying to get out of the way.  He was gone before security could get there.  If he had struck my wife, I would have lost my mind and probably killed him.  Whatever they are getting for royalties, it isn't worth it.

As far as Kirby calling out the fans.  Frankly, he can kiss my ass.  I was at Alabama and paid a lot of money to be there.  He didn't have the team ready to play.  He needs to worry about that and his underachieving assistant coaches instead of the home fans.
