Red jersey's at home, white on the road, red helmets all the time.  If Nike can't teach their Chinese slave labor children to make silver pants, switch to UA or whoever can.  Red pants for one road game a year is allowable.

Different uniform combinations are for loser programs like South Carolina whose fans need something as silly as what uniforms they will wear to talk about before games.

I certainly don’t want us to go all Oregon and definitely don’t want to get weird like FSU and add a teal (that’s not even a logo or team color) just to appease the female fans. That stuff is just odd. But I don’t mind a black jersey every cuppa years for the keyuds.
