Heading to Austin. Never been. What should I see Friday - Sun?

Going to try and get some brisket at Terry Blacks BBQ:
https://terryblacksbbq.com/austin/

Alternate BBQ if they are sold out or line over an hour?

Bat bridge Friday night:
https://austinbatrefuge.org/congress-ave-bridge/

Tour of the Athletic Facility Friday

Gameday Saturday morning

Sideline passes for the game, but what to do for the 7 hours between gameday and the game?  Food / sports bars around campus?

They have In-N-Out Burger out there. It isn't anything mega-profound. It's a fast food hamburger. But, it is a good one, and owned/operated by good family folk.

The bats are pretty cool. I haven't been in about 10 years, but there used to be a Jazz club on Congress I always enjoyed. The name escapes me, but it was in a basement.

Formula 1 race qualifying and sprint race on Friday. Actual race on Sunday if you want to drop some serious coin on a ticket.

Took over In-N-Out L.A. after the 22-23 Natty.  We literally took it over.  Went behind the counter and started frying up burgers.

That's awesome. I would have been the guy making the fries from raw potatoes.

The Driskoll Hotel (bar) on 6th. Where Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders hung out. One of the most badass bars on the planet. Salt Lick > Terry Blacks IMO. Little drive, but the coolest Q venue you'll ever see as well

Stubbs ain't what it used to be!  IMVHO.  Still good, though.  Continental Club on Congress can almost always be counted on for some good music!!  Broken Spoke, too.

Might be quicker to drive the 45 to Salt Lock than to wait at Terry Blacks for 2 hours
