BILOXI, Miss. --- The Georgia men's golf team sits in first place after round one of the Fallen Oak Invitational on Saturday at the Beau Rivage's Fallen Oak Course.  The Bulldogs shot one-under 287 on the day.  After Georgia with the lead at 1-under par, Mississippi State, LSU, and Ole Miss are tied for second at 1-over after the first round on Saturday. Round two of the Fallen Oak Invitational will be held on Sunday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. CT.  The third and final round will take place Monday.

ATLANTA — The Georgia women's tennis team earned seven wins with two singles quarterfinal spots secured on the third day of action at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex on Saturday. The Bulldogs will resume action at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships on Sunday, Oct. 20 with action set to begin at 10 a.m. ET.

ATHENS, Ga. – Senior Miguel Perez Peña qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship, and No. 2 Blaydes/Ratiu advanced to the doubles finals on Day Four of the ITA Southeast Regional at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Saturday. No. 64 Peña def. fellow Dawg, No. 28 Ryan Colby, 6-3, 6-3. Cyrus Mahjoob def. John Bernard (Florida Atlantic), 1-6, 6-1, [10-3] in the Consolation Singles – Semifinals. No. 2 Blaydes/Ratiu will face Nirurndorn/Jefferson (Florida) at 10:00 a.m. E.T. in the doubles finals. Cyrus Mahjoob will face Nacho Serra Sanchez (Miami) in the consolation singles finals.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Georgia swimming and diving teams continued the outstanding starts to their season with a sweep of Florida State Saturday at the Morcom Aquatic Center. The Georgia men (2-0, 1-0 SEC) tallied 14 victories on the day, including sweeps of both relays and diving events, while the Georgia women (3-0, 2-0 SEC) notched 11 wins. Georgia opens its home schedule with its annual rivalry meet against No. 3/3 Florida on Friday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. EDT at Gabrielsen Natatorium. The meet will also serve as the Bulldogs' annual Live Pink meet.

BISHOP – The No. 6 University of Georgia equestrian earned a hard-fought win over No. 2 Texas A&M in a tiebreaker victory on Saturday afternoon at the UGA Equestrian Complex. The Bulldogs will hit the road on November 1 to compete against No. 10 University of South Carolina.
