“So the kick was, they have a very different alignment, and that was not the planned kick,” Smart said. “It was unfortunate. Peyton missed the ball a little bit. And we weren’t trying to squib that.”

In the post game show on the radio they said Peyton said it was supposed to be a squib kick to keep it away from the returner.  Peyton did say that he messed up the kick.

This is according to the radio guys.

Yeah, Kirby has made some SMH calls over the years but an onside kick to start the second half left me totally flummoxed.  I was somewhat relieved listening to the post game show that it wasn't a called onside kick.

A kicker who drills 50 yd field goals right between the pipes, routinely puts kickoffs deep into or out of the end zone, mis-hits the ball into a squib kick? Ummm, nope

Out of the end zone is the norm. Maybe he was saving his leg for long FG.

I guess that means there is a vast conspiracy of lies surrounding this particular kick.

What is the bigger story here?  Dawg Nation has a right to know!!!
