What Munson might have said

Roughly 46 hours and a couple of minutes until kickoff. Several retirements and perhaps a few divorces will be financed through Condo Rentals up and down the Georgia and Florida coast this weekend.  If you haven't left for Jacksonville or the islands yet, you are late.  The caravan of RV's from various spots near and far should be long and boisterous.  The old Gator Bowl which is now the new Gator Bowl or Everbank or whatever the name is today beckons.  The annual Cocktail Party looks a bit more appealing than it did after Georgia beat Texas and the Gators beat Kentucky.

Can the Dawgs put another defensive performance together this week?  Can our Wide Receivers help Carson with better routes and fewer drops?  Can Carson not throw it to the other team?  We know little Etienne has been waiting for this game.  And probably some of his old teammates have been waiting for a chance to stick a shoulder into him too.

Florida's coach seems like he's been on the Hot Seat since before the season started.  But Florida has talent, and the dual threat at QB is always enough to get your blood pressure up to unhealthy levels.  One thing that is always true with Florida teams is speed.  And they have a behemoth that weighs over 400 pounds on their Defensive Line.

As is always the case when you cross the State Line, you better be ready to run the football.  In spite of the highlights that are plentiful in this series, the winner is almost always the team that lines up and runs the ball effectively.

Florida is looking to break our hearts and keep us out of Atlanta and maybe even bigger things.  Georgia can't afford to rest on the good performance against Texas or look ahead to Tennessee and Ole Miss.

This will likely be closer than I would like for longer than I want.  But hopefully the cigar the Touchdown club gave me can be lit and Ole Lady luck will smile on the Dawgs.
