My buddy tells me Zeke had 8 interceptions in one game against Georgia Tech. Thank goodness Facebook and HOTD was not around in early 50's.

Did not know that stat. You are correct on the social media. I’m sure Zeke is glad it wasn’t around. Big Grin

I bet Zeke is not happy that social media is around even now. Yowch. Those are some rough numbers to look at.
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Probably stating the obvious, but Beck is throwing interceptions instead of throwing the ball away when he doesn't see a receiver. He is really forcing a lot of throws lately, not just the interceptions, but you've all seen the near interceptions. They talked big about him letting it all go and moving on and he did come back and throw some big time passes, but it was obvious Saturday that he didn't let it go, especially after the third. He then took sacks instead of throwing it away. Something has gotten into his head about making the decision to throw the ball away on a busted play.

Also playing into this is all this talk about explosive plays vs. boring offense. On the first drive of the game, it stalled because we needed 4 yards, and he threw the ball 25-30 yards on 3rd down. It would have been great if it had been caught, but the first down should always be your immediate goal, IMO. Forget about the endzone on 3rd when it's 40 yards away, especially when you want to exert control of the game to start. I don't know if all of that is Bobo, but that strategy led to a couple of drops/bad throws, which I think also gets into his head.

I'm tired of holding my breath every time he throws the ball. He needs to figure out what the hell he has to do when the receivers are covered.

That pass on the first drive you talk about is classic Bobo ball.

Beck is simply not very good.  Without superstar WRs he is average at best.  Even when the receiver is wide open and running free, Beck throws the ball behind the receiver so the receiver has to stop to catch the ball and there are no yards after catch.  Saturday I was gripped by panic every time Beck threw the ball downfield.

How in the hell is Beck 2nd or 3rd in the league in passing yards?  Something doesn't add up.

I think he had something like 25 attempts in the first half.  He was 25 of 40 Saturday, we are throwing the ball a ton.  I guess not having any healthy RBs is making us throw for every yard we gain.

It is obviously affecting our game plan...I know Bobo and Kirby want to run it more...not sure we can...

It might end up being ironic that RB injuries and crappy OL play will save Bobo's job.  The OL can't run block for shit, they look exactly like the CMR OLs did, good at pass pro, bad at run blocking.  Kirby won't fire him because he has had to play with built in disadvantages.

Oh well, at least one more season with no championship of any kind.
