Weird thing about this team...
#1
Very different from the last several years of Kirby teams.  If we had a down game, I've always felt like Kirby would right the ship.  With this team, I'm not so sure.  Whether its quality of players or quality of coaches - we just don't seem to "click".

We're still very good, but I feel like we're back to "out athleting" other teams vs scheme and execution.

I'm going to see how we handle Tennessee before I give up my confidence. Still a strong believer in Kirby and this team. I've seen them play at a high level. I've seen the fans show up. 1st time we lost to non Alabama team in 4 years. And then it was only Florida 2020 LSU and Texas 2019. So 4 losses in 6 years, other than Bama. It was just wet other night, we got a lot of game film to study and coach us up. 8 in a row over Tennessee. Long way from gloom of 1990's. Go Dogs!

Don't misunderstand ... I'm not doom and gloom by any stretch. We've seen the offense click and we've seen the defense click.
My point is that I don't have confidence this year in the "click" happening consistently. Thats a different feeling.

I guess all those top 3 recruiting classes we were told we had didn't have any good OL or WRs and I guess endless screens and runs in the middle are a good way for an offense to create explosive plays.  Thanks for helping us dumb Georgia fans understand.

Weakest staff Kirby has had is another problem.

Losing Fran Brown, Dell and BMac has hurt.

Coley is supposed to be some shit hot crooter but can't coach a lick.  Searels sux.  The DB coach from USC, Williams, sux. Tav Rob might suck.  The RB coach ain't much and then there's Bobo.

RB coach gets something of a pass.  Every RB that is a legit SEC talent is hurt and we are relying on a walk on and a true freshman who can't hold on to the ball.

Yep. RB room looks like a MASH Triage.  But that’s another reason for a more mobile and more pocket aware  QB. That and a LT that didn’t whiff his blocks almost every 3rd down.

I still have confidence in Kirby. But, not at the same level as before. Instead of 110%, I'm more like 100%. If he continues to take the same path, my confidence will probably erode some. He has GOT to make some difficult decisions. Players and coaching. It ain't getting done.

When he made Bobo OC I dropped below 100%.  I'm still in the 90+percentile but if he keeps Bobo after this season I'll be getting back to Richt levels of confidence.

Do you have a list of the things the top coach in college football, who has 2 rings, should do in your expert opinion? i'd like to write them down so we can follow along. maybe we can pass it along to the athletic dept when kirby gets fired b/c he didn't do any of em and get ya on the sidelines

The one thing I'd put on the list is don't hire an OC who has never won a championship of any kind as a player, coordinator or head coach and your fan base was happy when he left the program before because he is your good friend.

Wilson and Micah Morris are the ones I wouldn't trade for anything. The rest are inconsistent at best. Our OL was not great last year. The bloom is off the rose so to speak
and no one is afraid of our OL.

Don’t forget, Muschamp ain’t a full time coach this year and it’s also the first year in a while without Cochran.
