Here's some takes on the Beck smiling controversy

Beck's mom responds.

I tend to think that we as a fanbase have taken a brief moment caught on camera all too seriously.  None of us were there listening to a conversation between these guys.  No one remembers the stone-faced shot of him just prior.  I for one didn't think much of it, but to each his own.  The loss of that game sucks, but there's plenty of places to spread your anger around.  The reality is, we got outcoached and outplayed by the other team.  Beck made some good plays.  There were a ton of drops.  Hell, he hit Bell in the damn facemask with a pass.  At least he only gave up one INT this week.

Just something for a bunch of spoiled fans to bitch about. Much ado about nothing IMO. As I mentioned previously, they were probably just laughing at Bobo's game plan.

It wasn’t the conversation, it was the fact he was sitting in the bench not giving a shit. Bennet and other QBs would be cycling the offenses getting them rest for war and the next play.

Beck is the Toasty B of SEC QBs

I’m more concerned about the look on his face before the smile. He looks defeated, done, over. Not the look you want from your QB and not the look of a leader. He is only a junior. His draft stock has fallen off a cliff. Could he come back for another year? There is still a lot of football left this season, but time is running out. If we don’t win this week, how will that play out for next year and NIL or NFL?

I don't care about him smiling at all. His play is what bothers me the most.

It never bothered me. I have zero idea what he was smiling about.

NIL will dry up for Beck with his ‘24 performance.
