Drones flying over NJ
#1
as a Chinese national gets busted doing the same yesterday over a military base in CA. Some the sauce of size of SUVs and we can’t stop them or identify them. Pathetic.

They haven't broken any laws or regulations and it appears they are mostly over residential areas. Being "near" a Trump golf course or military base isn't grounds for govt or LE to do anything. Also, a drone the size of an SUV would show up on ATC radar and I don't think these have.

Drones don’t show up on radar unless they have ADSB or a transponder, which these may or may not have. I would surely hope no small planes run into them, since they are more likely to share lower altitude airspace with the drones.

Let me know how it works out for you to fly your Cessna into this Presidential TFR (temporary flight restrictions)

According to some official on the news this morning, the drones have not violated any rules.  I guess that means they have not flown higher than the maximum limit allowed, I think that is 400 ft.  Also, drones are supposed to be registered with the FAA.  It seems that if these drones are not registered and do not comply with the FAA tracking regulations in the Remote ID system they could legally be shot down, especially near or above a military base.

The fact the govt is saying with pretty much certainty that they don't pose any threat makes me think the govt actually knows more about them than they are saying.  If they truly don't know anything about them, how do they know they are not any sort of threat?

Do those same restrictions apply to Bedminster Golf Course if the president isn't there?  I'm guessing if Trump isn't at Mar a Lago those restrictions aren't there, hence the "temporary".

Let's hope we have more powder, cannon, musket and ball than General Washington had on Manhattan in November of 1776.

I'll start forging weapons immedately. Send me your specs.

This is over Bedminster CC in New Jersey. Not as big, but still active. My guess is that it will get larger if POTUS is there

These pop up over every sporting event, such as a UGA game in Athens. You can fly through them, but you must have a transponder and communication with ATC. That’s how you occasionally see a plane fly over Sanford during a game, its on finally approach to Ben Epps

For instance, here is a not yet activated TFR around Mercedes Benz for an upcoming bowl game. The stadium is the middle of the yellow circle
