Maybe I'm just coping, but looking at CFB history, only two teams in the post-war era
#1
have won 3 Nattys in a span of 4 years. That's Alabama in 2009, 2011, and 2012. And ND in 46, 47, and 49.

That's it.

All teams other than them that have won back to back Natty's have gone at least a decade before getting another one.

We're in good shape, but there needs to be some movement among the assistants in the offseason. I have zero confidence that we will get back with Searles and Coley on staff.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Another interesting fact: Saban says that he only fired one assistant in his entire career as a HC. One. But, I bet he encouraged a lot of others to find better opportunities for themselves.

Saban also never hired a coordinator or assistant coach like Bobo or Searles.  He knew he needed to hire elite assistants and coordinators if he wanted to win at the highest level.

I believe Searles was OL coach at LSU under Saban.
