Beck wasn’t it…and still isn’t…

I’ll die on this hill.    He may have an NFL body and NFL arm…but, so did Jeff George and many others.   

Stet didn’t look like he was built in a QB factory and look what the dude accomplished.   

To be clear, I didn’t like Stet.    I thought he was a jack leg and I probably had too much information of him acting a fool.   But, you know what he didn’t do?    He didn’t post pics of him dancing with his girlfriend AND he didn’t run off to himself when times got tough.    He was a winner and his team went to war with him.    

I didn’t think I’d say this, but…I’m not sad Beck is gone even a tiny bit.   

He’s defended on another site infrequent like he was the golden boy and uga fans abandoned him.  I’ve got it the other way around.    Sure he kept his mouth shut and didn’t expose his Bobo relationship…but, Stet did the same with Monken.   Beck kept his mouth shut because he knew he wouldn’t see the field otherwise.   Reference when he ran his mouth saying he was starting in ‘22 and got benched for another year.    

He may go on to be a top NFL guy…but…I can’t have my QB doing this:

I say we would have been in the MNC game with him healthy..not sure if our D could contain OSU.  Dude got us to the SECCG with a Coach everyone thinks is an idiot and wideouts who lead the nation in drops..I’d find another hill myself.

If we have a fall off next year, it will be at QB…I said IF. I don’t predict that myself.

I can't forget about the 9 INTs he threw over 4 games, plus 3 more against Alabama.  I'm sure not all of them were his fault, but he did not play well at times leading to what looked like busted plays and sacks.  I just don't think he has great leadership skills either.  

Personally, I don't think we would have won the SEC had he not gotten hurt. I also found it interesting that once Stockton took over, the receivers that had dropped balls all year suddenly didn't.

We were a second half team most all year for some reason..that said, we played like ASS against ND the entire game..

UGA could only pay so many QB’s millions, something had to give..my passion is also waning because of shit like this..

I think Stockton threw a more catchable ball, slightly less velocity or something like that.  A QB can absolutely throw too hard on short passes.
