BITD Dawgs like that were put down, both to end the pet's misery and save the family's financial situation.

Of course BITD (mid 60s), my German Shepherd after eating poisoned meat, was treated for 3 days by our Vet for under a $100. Dutch recovered and lived another 6 years.
