Has anyone heard the condition/progress, etc. o David's wife?

I think it all comes down to what kind of cancer she has. If it is a Glioblastoma, she really doesn't have much of a chance of a good outcome. The five year survival rate for that particular cancer is only around 6%. Hopefully, it is something else.
