Would be interesting to see how many schools opt out of the league and forget that type of football.

I've said it before and I still say it. Make athletes be admitted to the school through regular admission channels BEFORE they can play a sport or get a scholarship to play a sport. Once they are admitted to the school and have made a team they can be eligible for NIL deals. If a kid thinks it is too much work for not enough return to play a sport, they can quit the team and pay their own way through school (this happens a lot in non revenue sports now).
The NFL would have no choice but to form a farm system and the NFL could pay players to develop into NFL players. College sports would be exactly that, college sports.

I like JC’s solution, but am in the jmac camp. I can’t control it, but still enjoy watching. I’m trying to worry less in ‘24 about what I can’t control. This falls into that category.
I will say, losing a game bothers me far less than it used to. Maybe it is the multiple natty games I’ve enjoyed, or maybe it is getting older, but I enjoy the wins and move on from the losses quickly.

This falls into that category. I feel the same way! I guess it may be the success Kirby has developed here. I think maturing has taken some of the bite out of a loss. We also realize at this level the losses are even harder to overcome. I now see college football as an escape from the grind of everyday life! I used to take the losses much harder when i was younger, for sure. I am 57 now, so I have a little more perspective. Have a great weekend!
