Titled Before the End: Searching for Jim Morrison, the docuseries was written and directed by self-described Doors superfan Jeff Finn. Though it has been on Apple TV+ since January, the doc is only gaining traction now through outlets like Syracuse.com.
Before the End suggests Morrison faked his own death. According to the documentary, the artist eventually met a Syracuse man named Frank and assumed his identity.
To further the theory, Finn claims the Syracuse man has a scar on his nose in the same location where the real Morrison had a mole. He also showed a photo of “Frank” to two ex-girlfriends, who reportedly burst into tears over the resemblan
