Had a huge sweet gum tree in our side yard when I was a kid. You didn’t dare mow there without wearing long pants. A sweet gum ball slung by a lawnmower off a bare shin was agonizing.

I'm about to cut down a sweetgum in my backyard. That thing has produced more gumballs than leaves the last couple of years. Huge pain in the ass.
