OCALA, Fla. – The seventh-seeded University of Georgia equestrian team has secured a ticket to the NCEA National Championship final after its outstanding 16-4 victory against sixth-seeded Texas A&M on Friday afternoon at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. Georgia built a strong first-half lead after sweeping the Fences competition, 5-0, with Melissa Deryn Foster's high score of 86.7 on Hardy. The Bulldogs continued their hot streak with a 4-1 score in Reining. Raegan Shepherd earned the highest score in the reining competition, scoring 72.3 on Cowgirl. Georgia closed out on a high note with another 5-0 sweep in Flat. Sophia Pilla, SEC Flat Rider of the Year secured the meet-winning point and the highest score in Flat competition with an 86.3 on Georgie. The Georgia Bulldogs will face the No. 1-seeded Southern Methodist University Ponies on Saturday morning, April 19, at 10 a.m. ET at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, to compete for the NCEA National Championship title.

ATHENS, Ga. – The 23rd-ranked Georgia Bulldogs evened its series against No. 17 Ole Miss on Friday evening with a 6-4 victory at Jack Turner Stadium.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fifth-ranked Georgia fell 13-7 to No. 19 Vanderbilt Friday at Hawkins Field as the Commodores clinched the series.

AUBURN, Ala. — The No. 2 ranked and 2-seeded Georgia women's tennis team (21-3, 13-2 SEC) returned to winning ways with a 4-0 sweep over No. 10-ranked and 7-seeded Tennessee (17-7, 10-5 SEC) in the 2025 SEC Tournament quarterfinal at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Friday.

ATHENS, Ga. — GymDogs Lily Smith and Ady Wahl each captured NCAA First Team All-American status as announced by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) on Friday.
Smith, a sophomore from Limerick, Pa., earned her fifth overall honor after finishing fifth place overall on the floor event. Wahl, placed tenth place overall on vault.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Lianna Davidson and Moustafa Alsherif completed a Georgia sweep of the javelin while Riyon Rankin took home a win in the men's high jump invite to highlight the Bulldogs' first day at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday. Erin McMeniman joined Davidson in the top five on women's javelin. Sophomore sprinter Brody Buffington finished third in the 200-meter dash invite.

ATHENS, Ga.-----University of Georgia's Kolby Branch has been selected to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List, the College Baseball Foundation (CBF) announced Friday. The Wallace Award honors the nation's top shortstop and will be presented by the CBF later this year. It is named for the former Texas Tech shortstop, who played for the Red Raiders from 1977-1980. Wallace died of leukemia at the age of 27.

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia swimming and diving teams will join seven institutions for the inaugural The Dual Meet Tournament this fall at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center. Georgia will join Army, Auburn, Florida State, George Washington, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, and NC State for a first-of-its-kind, two-day, dual meet tournament event, running Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18 in Atlanta, the site of next season's NCAA Men's and Women's Championships.
