Woof™ For 16th Best Season in History of UGA Football #6 Final AP Poll (SEC Champs)

ATHENS, Ga. --- Longtime Bulldog radio announcer Scott Howard has been included in the fourth annual Friends of Georgia Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2025, according to a recent announcement. Howard, a 1984 University of Georgia graduate, has helped call Georgia football and basketball games for the last 31 years.  He began his relationship with the Bulldog football team as a color analyst alongside the late Larry Munson in the 1993 season.  In 2007, Howard broadcast play-by-play action in all of Georgia's road football games before becoming the program's primary voice by the third game of the next season. Howard has also served as Georgia's primary play-by-play reporter for the Bulldog men's basketball games since the 1997 season.  Some of his first action in Georgia athletics came announcing baseball games from 1990-96. Neil "Hondo" Williamson is also on the Georgia football radio team and was a Class of 2022 honoree.

ATHENS, Ga. --- University of Georgia's Aaliyah Butler has been announced as one of the four finalists for the Class of 2025 Honda Sport Award for Track & Field, as revealed by The Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA). Butler is joined by Alabama's Doris Lemngole, Washington's Hana Moll and Michigan's Savannah Sutherland as finalists.  Kendell Williams has been Georgia's sole Track & Field winner during the 2016-17 school year. Butler, hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., delivered a standout 2025 season, headlined by her individual national title in the 400 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.  Her winning time of 49.26 not only set a new school record but also marked the fifth-fastest performance in collegiate history.  Butler also anchored Georgia's 4x400-meter relay to victory, securing the program's first-ever national title in the event and helping propel the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. A 2024 Olympic gold medalist as part of Team USA's 4x400-meter relay squad, Butler continues to affirm her place among the elite in collegiate and international track and field.

ATHENS, Ga. — The Southeastern Conference announced the two-time, home and road opponents for the 2025-25 men's basketball season on Wednesday. Georgia will face Florida, South Carolina and Texas twice during the upcoming campaign. In addition to the Gators, Gamecocks and Longhorns, the Bulldogs will host Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M this winter. Georgia's road outings also include trips to Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
