Right?  I get the comment about this for the long haul and I don't disagree.   But, Bama has lost/is losing enough talent already off the '24 team to likely miss the 12 team playoff.   Between grads and portal losses.   He's going to have to pull together a couple of monumental portal/freshman classes just to get the talent level back to championship caliber.   Now, the other side of the coin is...he won with lesser talent at Washington.  We'll see how it shakes out I guess.

"he won with lesser talent at Washington. "

Much easier to do in the PAC? than in the SEC...those lines he put together for that Champ. game couldn't even manage MI...he will get a rude awakening if he thinks that will work at AL.

Yep, you guys are spot on with that.   It takes a different level of talent to compete in the SEC week in and week out.  Depth is a huge part of it.   Even Kirby has figured that out recently.   You've got to be 3+ deep at most positions.

I agree, Jaycee.
Let's see if the Saban story factor still plays in, i.e. Saban LEFT and they are still thriving off his great coaching.
Maybe he can walk out of the press box like Chief Knockahoma at the games and summon Touchdowns?
