Three more Gold Medals for UGA.

Three Georgia Bulldogs earned gold medals to close out competition at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Alongside the three medals won by swimmer Nic Fink, Georgia Athletics closed the 2024 Olympics with six total medals (four gold, two silver).

Former Bulldog Anthony Edwards tallied eight points, one rebound, and a steal in nine minutes of play as the United States men's basketball team won its fifth-consecutive gold medal in a 98-87 victory over France.

Rising junior Aaliyah Butler earned a gold medal as a member of Team USA's women's 4x400-meter relay team. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native helped the Americans advance to the final with the top time of the event's first round on Friday (3:21.44) but did not run in Saturday's final.

Former Bulldog Croix Bethune became the soccer program's first gold medalist as the United States defeated Brazil, 1-0, in the gold medal match.

Marie-Therese Obst placed 11th in the women's javelin finals while competing for Norway.
