So I guess we haven't practiced the 2 point play all year?

What a shit show.

Dropped passes and bizarre offensive play calling.

If we play like that Saturday, it might be 34-0 at the half.

I'll admit, I left early.  It's rare that I do that, but thus far, it's the only game I regret leaving early.  I left after Tech scored to go up 27-13 with about 5 minutes left.  It was cold.  There were some drunk folks behind me driving me nuts not keeping a single thought in their head.  It was a lady and two guys.  The lady sounded like she had never seen a football game before.  When she asked "what's a touchback?" after the preceding kickoff in the 4th, I'd had my fill of her and the drunk dude she was trying to hook up with who didn't know shit about the strategies of football.  Every week it seems the people sitting behind me and screaming in my ears get trashier and dumber.  The kid sitting next to me bolted right after that touchdown, so I just followed for some reason.  I was pissed.

Anyway, I got home an hour and a half later in time to see the last two OTs which is wild.

I just knew we were going to have a flawless game against Tech.  I kept hoping they would figure it out.  At half, I was like, "they gotta play better in the second half, right?" By the time I watched them go up 27-13 with ease, I just knew we wouldn't come back, and I didn't want to sit there and watch those assholes tear off chunks of the hedges as souvenirs.

I'm glad they pulled it off, and to hell with all of those folks chastising the "fair-weather fans" that left early, and complaining about it not "being a good look."  First of all, I pay for my tickets every year.  They're my seats.  I can do what I want with them and decide how to use my time.  Second of all, I have been going to games for almost 40 years.  Calling me a fair-weather fan for leaving that game early is laughable. What were you doing in the 90s?

That's great.  I wonder how many they convert in practice.

Did he ever say why the analytics told them to go for two after their first touchdown, because that made no sense to me at all.

or the going for it early in the red zone.  I think his staffers told him Tech burns clock and limits possessions.  He needs to fire that staffer(s) and kick himself in the arse.

I left at halftime and I'm glad I did. Seeing the end would have been fun but getting home after 2 am would not have been. I think it speaks volumes about how far we have fallen off as a program when it takes us 8 overtimes to beat Georgia Tech. We were a 20 point favorite and came within a tech fumble of not winning the game.

I'm afraid Schumann is Willie Mart 2.0. Tech ran up and down the field on us all night and they were just the latest team to move the ball pretty much at will against our D. Our tackling is horrid and our dbs appear to be practicing social distancing from opposing receivers. We are supposed to have loads of top tier talent on D but they look like they are fairly new to the game when they are playing.

Bobo is Bobo and he isn't ever going to be anything else.

I hope Kirby makes some sound decisions in the off season. If he doesn't, and this shit show continues, he will start feeling some heat. I hope he does whatever it takes to correct all the mistakes these 4 and 5 star football players are making.

The distance our DBs give receivers absolutely pisses me off.  All our guys line up more than 5 yards off the LOS.  And nobody stays home in the middle, ever.  They kept throwing right over the middle at a wide open guy.

On the other side, they lost 5 DBs in the first 3 quarters, but either Bobo wouldn't call a midrange pass or Beck was afraid to throw one because he knew it would be dropped.  They were playing 2 and 3 guys deep on their roster and we should have taken advantage of that.

Bobo is completely useless and if he wasn't Kirby's best friend would be unemployed.  Buster looked like Monken 2.0.  We should have made Buster OC and fired Bobo but Kirby looks like he is going to make Bobo his equivalent of Richt's Willie Martinez.  A good friend that he keeps on in spite of obvious incompetence.

If he does, it may very well be his undoing. Bobo isn't the biggest problem but, he's not going to win you a championship.

The fumble cost them the game.  They were up by 14 with 5 and a half minutes to go.  If King doesn't fumble and they get one more first down there isn't enough time for us to score twice.  Even the radio guys said it was probably over when they went up by 14.

Bad wording on my part.  I meant that, if King doesn't fumble and tech gets another first down and punts us deep, we would not have had time to come back and score twice after the last tech td.  The way things had been going, tech could have possibly scored again on the possession when they fumbled.  Tech only punted once in the whole game, we could not stop them.

How did UGA win?  We outscored their asses in the 2nd half and OT, that's how.  Beck put the O on his shoulders late in the game, IMHO.  That and Dan Jackson is a bad dude.  Plays well above his pay grade.

Agreed dnc.  I left at the same time. At that point I had seen enough of our Swiss cheese defense and I was freezing my butt off.  Listened on the radio on the way home.

Regarding the crowd, my pupette bemoaned “the poors and riff raff” at the UMass game who didn’t have a clue about where to go or how to get there and just stood around and clogged up everything.  Big Grin
